Privacy

A working draft of the platform's privacy posture. To be reviewed by counsel before launch.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email, hashed password, optional default size and address.
• Order data: line items, totals, shipping address, payment status.
• Vendor data: storefront details, payout connection identifiers, knowledge files you upload.
• Concierge chat: message content for the duration of moderation review and reasonable retention.
• Operational data: IP, user agent, and timestamps used for security, rate limits, and audit logs.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: route orders to vendors, settle commission, send transactional email, support customers, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

Concierge AI

Vendor scope chat is filtered by store and never references other vendors. Knowledge files you upload are scoped to your store. Chat content is not used to train third-party models.

Cookies

Session and CSRF cookies for authentication, plus a guest cart token. No advertising trackers ship with the platform.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your account data. Email privacy@cougarmetropolis.com to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

Retention

Order, payment, and tax records are retained as required by law. Chat logs and other operational data are retained for a reasonable security and audit window.

Processors

Stripe (payments), our mail provider (transactional email), our cloud host (storage and compute), and the configured Ollama endpoint (concierge generation). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.
